In accordance with Congolese mining laws and regulations, Kamoa Copper S.A. has paid DotKamoa, the specialized organization in charge of community development projects, the amount of Eight Hundred Eleven Thousand One Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars and Fifty-Three Cents (811,187.53 USD), corresponding to 10% of 0.3% of its revenue for the fiscal year 2023. The decision to pay 10% of the total amount was made following the approval of Kamoa Copper S.A.’s Management Committee, subsequent to the request issued by the specialized organization DotKamoa.
Kamoa Copper S.A. remains committed to contributing to the development of the surrounding communities and has therefore taken the necessary measures to pay the remaining 90% of the 0.3% of its revenue for the year 2023 before the end of 2024.
As a reminder, the 0.3% allocation is paid to Kamoa Copper S.A.’s specialized organization — DOT KAMOA — which is the entity responsible for managing and overseeing development projects aimed at improving the community.
