Kamoa Copper has paid 03 Percent of the endowment, representing USD 7,300,688.47.

In accordance with Congolese mining laws and regulations, which require any entity holding a mining license to allocate 0.3% of its revenue from the previous fiscal year to a specialized organization responsible for carrying out community development projects, Kamoa Copper S.A. is proud to announce that it has fully complied with this legal obligation for the year 2024.

On December 26th, Kamoa Copper S.A. made a payment of 7,300,688.47 USD to DOT-KAMOA, the specialized entity in charge of community development projects. This amount represents the remaining 90% of the 0.3% allocation from the company’s revenue for the 2023 fiscal year. An advance payment of 10%, amounting to 811,187.53 USD, had been made earlier this year in October at DOT-KAMOA’s request and was approved by Kamoa Copper’s Management Committee. The total allocation, therefore, amounts to 8,111,875.53 USD and will support the implementation of several community-interest projects under the management and supervision of DOT-KAMOA.
