His role involves providing strategic leadership and vision for these critical areas, developing, and overseeing long-term strategies, policies, and plans related to health, safety, and environmental sustainability. Dr. Muswil\u2019s career began as Head of the Medical Division at Kisenge Manganese Mining, where he managed a 200-bed hospital and the healthcare needs of surrounding communities for over five years.<\/p>\n Dr. Muswil\u2019s medical background is complemented by extensive experience in humanitarian work and sustainable development, equipping him with a unique blend of technical, social, and managerial expertise. His contributions have had a far-reaching impact on community health and sustainable practices in the mining sector.<\/p>\n In his role at Kamoa Copper, Dr. Muswil is responsible for overseeing the company\u2019s health, safety, and environmental policies, alongside sustainable development initiatives aimed at supporting the well-being of local communities. He is instrumental in driving Kamoa Copper\u2019s social responsibility projects, including food security, infrastructure development, and inclusive entrepreneurship, ensuring the company maintains its social license to operate.<\/p>\n Dr. Muswil\u2019s extensive experience in social development and humanitarian work has shaped his approach to sustainability at Kamoa Copper. He actively promotes projects that support the resilience of communities affected by mining operations, particularly focusing on wealth creation and economic empowerment for local populations.<\/p>\n Dr. Muswil is deeply committed to advancing sustainable development and improving the quality of life for communities in the DRC. His leadership extends beyond Kamoa Copper, as he serves as Chairman of the Local Content Commission of the Chamber of Mines of the DRC and Chairman of IDAK, a forum aimed at fostering sustainable development in the DRC\u2019s Katanga region.
