Annebel Oosthuizen, currently serving as the Managing Director at Kamoa Copper S.A., embodies dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to advancing women in the mining industry.<\/p>\n
She was appointed to Kamoa Copper\u2019s Executive Committee in 2020 and has served a critical role in ensuring a seamless and successful transition of Kamoa-Kakula from development project into an operating mining complex.<\/p>\n
She built (from scratch) a world-class team and developed capabilities to manage an operation with annual sales of over $3 billion, while also overseeing complex commercial agreements and logistical flows across the African continent.<\/p>\n
Ms. Oosthuizen has diligently managed approximately $6 billion in capital investment to date at Kamoa Copper, including the self-financing of the Phase 2 and Phase 3 expansions, as well as the recently completed smelter.<\/p>\n
She has proven expertise in optimising operational costs, implementing financial strategies, and leading cross-functional teams in high-value mining operations. Adept in SAP, PRISM, and project cost management systems, with a strong track record in financial leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic decision-making.<\/p>\n
